Beginner Truck Driving Jobs
If you're like many new truck drivers, you've probably already discovered that most companies require you to have experience in order to get a job. But experience is hard to come by if you don't have a job. It's a classic Catch 22.
By giving new and inexperienced truck drivers jobs and mentors, who will ride with them for up to 300 hours1, Swift can help ensure that you learn the ropes from a professional truck driver, are confident behind the wheel, and get any additional training you need to drive safely and succeed at Swift. During this time, your pay will be commensurate with your experience, but once you've successfully completed your over-the-road training, your pay will increase, along with your responsibility.
Repaying Your Tuition
Swift Academy offers special scholarships to military veterans and first responders, as well as a tuition-assistance program that allows you to earn your Class A CDL with little to no upfront costs2. We also realize that some recent graduates who apply for our entry-level truck driver jobs may have received their training elsewhere. Because of this, Swift also offers a tuition reimbursement program for licensed drivers who completed their CDL training at other truck driving schools.
